Adult Open Media Thursday 6:30-8:30
A university-style studio class focusing on practices and materials while building solid technique. Goodall works one on one with each student to encourage unique artistic development as their own personal style develops in the art-making media of their choice, ultimately connecting art works into series and building a refined portfolio of meaningful artwork. Suitable for beginner to advanced students as each works at their own pace on their own projects.

Learn to draw, paint, sculpt and collage as you discover the elements of art: Line, Shape, Color, Texture and Value. Use a variety of materials and processes while experiencing different approaches to seeing and making art through history.

This Spring we will wrap up our Get Real! Focus with gorgeous and meaningful self portraits in charcoal and clay inspired by Frida Kahlo. Then we will dive into Modern Art, learning all kinds of techniques and terms while having fun with the heavy hitters of the Twentieth Century. Learn about such artists as Frida Kahlo, Joan Miro, Henry Moore, Helen Frankenthaler, Mark Rothko, Jean Michel Basquiat and more!

Students will learn art, love art and have fun!

This Spring, we will learn the art principles of proportion and perspective, learning realistic sculpting and drawing techniques while you create original artworks with your unique style. We will look at artists and architects like Leonardo da Vinci and Frank Lloyd Wright, and paint sumptuous subjects using oil paints like Wayne Thiebaud. At the end of the semester, students will assimilate all they have learned into meaningful drawing, painting and sculpture projects of their own design.

Sew a beautiful first quilt during spring break!(25" x 32") Good machine sewing and ironing skills will be taught, and by the end of the workshop each child will be comfortable sewing both by hand and by machine.

No previous sewing experience necessary, this class is highly recommended for beginning sewers as it builds strong foundation sewing skills.

Landscape Painting in Oil for Teens
Teens will become comfortable with oils and complete your first frameable painting in an afternoon!

Learn how to arrange the oil paints like Michelangelo---from light to dark colors. This way of placing the colors on the palette is quite workable and is known as an intrinsic palette. Learn how the colors are used to create depth in your painting; how to effectively use brushes as the painting evolves; and how to clean-up your brushes safely and NON-TOXICALLY.

At the end of the first class you will have created a complete, ready-to-frame painting and you will never view the world (the sky, the clouds, the trees etc.) in the same way again!

Adult Intermediate Quilting: Spring Fling!
Incorporate several classic blocks into one finished piece in this playful design, further exploring strip quilting techniques as we start and finish a complete quilt. Master accurate pressing, measuring, cutting, and sewing, and why it's all important for a successful finished quilt. Perfect for those with some previous quilting experience.

Five meetings on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:30pm , no class April 21 to allow students to finish piecing at home prior to quilt completion the following week. Mother/daughter teams welcome!

Quick Quilting for Adults - Beginner Class

Sew for your American Girl: April
Create a new outfit for your American Girl doll each month while having fun learning to sew. No previous sewing experience necessary, sewing machines will be provided but students are encouraged to bring their own if available.

April: In Her Easter Bonnet... - We're welcoming spring by sewing floaty floral Easter dresses, then using our hatmaking skills to concoct fabulous flowered straw hats and Easter baskets. Your girl is sure to be the highlight of the Easter parade!
